COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Feb. 1, 2023 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 582 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,303,216*;
- 8 new deaths, for a total of 17,962 deaths, i.e.;
- 1 death in the last 24 hours,
- 1 death that occurred between two and seven days ago,
- 6 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
- 2,144 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,476 hospitalizations, including 457 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 10 compared to the previous day;
- 95 new entries,
- 105 new discharges;
- 26 people in intensive care, including 16 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 3 compared to the previous day;
- 6 new entries,
- 3 new discharges;
- 8,300 samples conducted on January 30;
- 322,952 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 272,448 positive: 50 declared for yesterday, including 45 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 2,310 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 22,883,802 doses received by Quebecers.
